The Mojo 300 will be Mahindra's first BS6 compliant two-wheeler in India.

Mahindra has teased the BS6 Mojo 300 on its various social media channels ahead of the official launch in the country. The updated BS6 iteration of the company's flagship motorcycle has been spotted as a test mule several times. Mahindra Mojo 300 previously had an update in August 2019 when the home-grown automaker had started rolling out the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) model while offering it in a single variant in place of the existing UT and XT variants. The Mojo 300 will be Mahindra's first BS6 compliant two-wheeler in India.

Going by the teaser image, it can be safely said that the BS6 Mahindra Mojo 300 would not appear too different from the BS4 model. The styling elements would include twin headlamps with cowl, curvy fuel tank, minimal side panels, and twin cylindrical tubers running under the tank. The semi-digital instrument cluster will be carried over from the BS4 model to the BS6 Mahindra Mojo 300. The tachometer gets an analogue gauge while other info such as speed, gear position, ABS light and trip meter are displayed on a digital screen. The suspension duties, in all likelihood, will be carried by the existing telescopic forks at the front and gas-charged mono shock at the rear as standard.

Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS BS6 will draw power from the same 300cc liquid cooled engine. The power output and torque performance with the BS4 model were 27bhp and 30Nm, respectively. The engine will be linked to the existing 6-speed gearbox. As for braking, there will be a 320mm disc at front and 240mm disc at rear. Needless to say, ABS comes as a standard safety feature. The company is expected to retain most of the hardware from the BS4 version in order to keep the costs in check. Mahindra Mojo 300 BS6 price could be approx. Rs 1.95 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom) as the BS4 motorcycle was priced at around Rs 1.88 Lakhs. It will directly rival the Bajaj Dominar 400 in the Indian market.
