John Abraham Endorses Mahindra Thar Roxx Black Edition 2025

Mahindra has just released a video with John Abraham on social media where they are talking about the upcoming Thar Roxx Black Edition. The new bold black variant comes with the same overall features and specifications except for some aesthetic changes.

Mahindra Thar Roxx launched in August 2024 as a more high-end version of the regular Thar. Mahindra later released a new Mocha Brown interior in October 2024. Now, the brand is set to release the Black Edition.

The brand has recently gone public about its upcoming black edition on social media with John Abraham. Mahindra has chosen John as their endorsement partner for this edition and John has also expressed interest in this new variant as he already owns a few black cars.

The car has a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating and starts from Rs. 13.99 lacs and goes up to Rs. 23.09 lacs (ex-showroom). This off-road model competes with Force Gurkha 5-door and Maruti Jimny.

What is New in the Mahindra Thar Roxx Black Edition?

Mahindra is bringing an all-black aesthetic to its popular off-roader Thar Roxx. The new edition is expected to feature a blacked-out exterior and interior.

The SUV is expected to get blacked-out alloy wheels, bumpers, logos, and interior trim which will give it a bold and aggressive look.

Bollywood star John Abraham has been chosen to endorse the SUV, as shown in a recent teaser video featuring him alongside Pratap Bose (Mahindra’s Design Head).

Mahindra Thar Roxx Price and Variants

The new Thar is available in six variants MX1, MX3, AX3L, MX5, AX5L, and AX7L. The price of the new Thar ranges from Rs. 13.99 lacs (ex-showroom) to ₹23.09 lakh (ex-showroom).

Mahindra Thar Roxx Engine and Powertrain

Customers get two engine options here a 2.2-litre diesel engine and a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine.

Out of the six variants, the AX3L comes with a diesel engine and manual transmission. The AX5L is also diesel-powered but gets an automatic transmission.

All other four variants are petrol-powered. The 4WD (four-wheel drive) is available for diesel trims only. Petrol engines are based on RWD (rear-wheel drive)

These variants are paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission (MT) or a 6-speed automatic transmission (AT).
