Mahindra XUV300 Price Reduced by Rs. 87,129 in India

Mahindra XUV300 prices reduced as it aims to increase its market share in the compact SUV segment

Mahindra has recently slashed the prices of XUV300 in India. The highest price cut being on W8 Option petrol variant by a massive Rs 87,129. Futher the next substancial price  decresase is on the standard W8 petrol trim which receives a cut of Rs 70,000. While the W8 Option diesel variant features a Rs 39,000 reduction with the standard W8 diesel  trim seeing a cut of Rs 20,000. More on this, the W4 petrol model price has been lessened by Rs 35,000 and the W6 petrol variant retail price gets reduced by another Rs 17,000. These price reductions are one of the highest in recent times by the Indian Automaker. Interestingly, Mahindra has increased the prices on W4 and W6 diesel models by Rs 1000 and Rs 20,000 respectively.

Mahindra has decreased the prices but it won’t lead to any changes in the features offered on the XUV300. This is good news for the Indian customers who are planning to buy a new SUV. With the decrease in prices, Mahindra has stopped offering discounts on various accessories. Under the new pricing scheme, Mahindra’s customers will not be eligible  to Rs 25,000 Exchange Bonus or a Rs 4500 Corporate Discount.  

Global New Car Safety Assessment Program (Global NCAP) did an exhaustive survey of Indian cars to find the safest ones currently available in the market. Amongst the ones tested, it was the Mahindra XUV300 that came out on top and is regarded as one of the safest locally produced compact SUV's in India. XUV300 was rated 5-star in adult occupants safety while receiving a credible 4-star for child safety measures. Moving to powertrain options, it comes equipped with both BS6 compliant petrol and diesel engines.  The 1.2-litre turbo-petrol unit delivers a power output of 110 bhp with 200 Nm of peak torque paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The 1.5-litre turbo-diesel mill, on the other hand, gives out 115 bhp of maximum power and 300Nm torque. Transmission options available here are a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed automatic transmission. 

XUV 300 Desert

Mahindra's decision to cut prices of Mahindra XUV300 comes in the wake of Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos success in the compact SUV segment in India. With the reduction in price, XUV300 aims to give stiff competition to its rivals.
