Maruti Ciaz Achieves 3 Lakh Sales Milestone in India

Maruti Suzuki has announced that the Ciaz mid-sized sedan has achieved the sales milestone of 3 Lakh units in the Indian market. It is the fastest ever by a product in the premium sedan segment which comprises of heavyweights like Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Toyota Yaris and Volkswagen Vento in the domestic market. Maruti Ciaz price starts at Rs 8.72 Lakhs and goes as high as Rs 11.71 Lakhs for the range-topping variant. Both the aforementioned prices are Ex. Showroom, Delhi. The sedan was first launched in 2014 in India.

Maruti Ciaz boasts of several premium elements such as LED Projector Headlamps with DRLs, sleek bumper and front grille. It is available in seven exterior color choices namely Nexa Blue, Metallic Magma Gray, Metallic Premium Silver, Pearl Metallic Dignity Brown, Pearl Midnight Black, Pearl Sangria Red and Pearl Snow White. The sedan gets a myriad of advanced features in the form of Cruise Control, Multi Information Display, Push Start/Stop Button, Automatic AC with Rear Vents, Rear Sunshade, SmartPlay Studio touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto. The safety features include Dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, Seatbelt pretensioners with force limiters, and ISOFIX child seat anchorages.

Mechanically, Maruti Ciaz is powered by a 1462cc 4-cylinder K15 Smart Hybrid petrol engine which develops top power of 103 bhp at 6000 rpm and peak torque of 138 Nm at 4400 rpm. It can be availed either with a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 4-speed torque converter automatic unit. The manual and automatic variants return mileage of 20.65 kmpl and 20.04kmpl, respectively.
