Production Model vs. Concept Design

Originally unveiled as the eVX concept, the E Vitara comes very close to being the eVX concept's production-ready version. The Maruti e Vitara Teased is poised at softer edges with aerodynamics apart from design styling both ways- functional and aesthetic.

Battery Options and Features

When it comes to the different battery configurations expected in the Maruti e-Vitara Bharat Mobility Expo, it has:

  • An entry-level 49kWh battery for the small variants to keep them affordable and practical.
  • A bigger 61kWh battery for higher trims accompanied by an All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system branded as AllGrip-e.

An amazing range is expected from the vehicle; the extended range would be from the bigger battery.

Competition and Market Positioning

The Maruti  e-Vitara debut would directly compete with some of the very popular electric vehicles like the Hyundai Creta EV, MG ZS EV, Tata Curvv, and Mahindra BE 6. Emerging as the most advanced offerings in the e-SUV segment, they are set to feature an attractive design and state-of-the-art technology. Such an introduction will undoubtedly fuel the growth of the electric SUV market.

Availability and Charging Infrastructure

Maruti is going to sell the eVitara through the Nexa premium outlets. The company is also readying to put up a strong EV charging network across its complete sales and servicing points to make EV usage more common for the Indian populace.

Launch Timeline

The e Vitara is expected to come to Indian roads by March 2025, followed by its global launch in Europe in mid-2025. Details on Maruti EV updates, bookings, pricing, and specifications will be made available closer to the time of the launch.
