Maruti Suzuki Dzire Facelift Launch in April 2020

Maruti Suzuki Dzire is all set to get a mid-cycle facelift with minor cosmetic updates.

Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the facelifted version of Dzire by April 2020 in the Indian market. The compact sedan, currently in the third generation, is all set to receive a mid-life update will minimal cosmetic changes in the coming couple of months. While the official launch date is yet to be revealed, the new 2020 Maruti DZire is expected to be priced more or less similar to the existing model. 


Under the hood, the facelifted DZire sedan is powered by a BS VI compliant 1.2L naturally-aspirated K12B petrol engine. The engine outputs 82 bhp max power and 113 Nm peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox. 


In terms of design updates, not many changes are expected. Upfront, it will carry a big grille with chrome surroundings and fog lamp assembly from the existing model. It also features a revised front bumper and headlamp setup. All set to ride on newly-designed alloy wheels, this updated version will come with a wooden finish that will add a bit of class to the overall cabin quality. It will be based on a new platform that provides space for some extra legroom for the rear passengers. The rear end will get an updated bumper, taillamp and a rear boot hood.


The cabin inside will flaunt a dual-tone beige and black theme. It will boast of a crisp instrument console with needles at zero degree position giving it a sporty feel. This facelifted model will come with a new Smartplay touchscreen infotainment system with integrated Andriod Auto and Apple Carplay. Equipped with modern technology, it will support cloud-based connectivity functions that include voice recognition, live traffic, and vehicle alerts along with AC vents and power socket for the rear seats. The new swift dzire will have a longer wheelbase with a boot size of 378-liters.


The safety kit of this facelifted model will include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX, and brake assist. Other highlighted safety features include front seat belt with pre-tensioners, immobilizer, force limiters, seat belt warning lamps along with key left warning and door open warning as standard.
