Maruti Suzuki, the leading car maker in India, announced recently that its famous compact SUV, the Grand Vitara, has achieved a significant sales milestone of over 2 lakh units in just 23 months. The Grand Vitara is the fastest compact SUV to achieve these sales numbers. Maruti rolled out the compact SUV in India in September 2022. The first 1 lakh units of Grand Vitara were retailed during the first year of its launch, while the next 1 lakh units were retailed in just 10 months. According to the company, most customers prefer to buy the robust CNG and hybrid variants of the compact SUV.
The company offers the Maruti Grand Vitara with multiple powertrain options, including a mild-hybrid petrol, a CNG option, and a strong hybrid petrol. The compact SUV also comes with an all-wheel drivetrain option along with a mild-hybrid system. The hybrid and S-CNG technologies offer high fuel efficiency and contribute to reducing carbon emissions as well. The addition of these advanced technologies to vehicles is essential as India drives closer towards cleaner and more efficient automotive solutions. Maruti has also taken a primary role in embracing hybrid and green technology.

The Maruti Grand Vitara compact SUV features a range of amenities like a head-up display, a 9-inch Smart Play Pro+ infotainment system, ventilated seats, a wireless charging dock, a 360-degree view camera, a panoramic sunroof, a PM 2.5 Air Cabin Filter, paddle shifters, the Clarion Premium Sound System, rear AC vents, a 6-speaker music system, cruise control, and more. In the Indian market, the SUV is priced between INR 10.99 lakh and INR 19.93 lakh (ex-showroom). The Grand Vitara rivals the likes of the Honda Elevate, VW Taigun, Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor, and more.
