Maruti Suzuki XL6 Bookings Now Open

The launch of the premium version of the Ertiga MPV -- XL6 -- from Maruti Suzuki is just a few days away and ahead of that the largest carmaker of India has started accepting the bookings of the upcoming MUV in an official capacity. The bookings for the upcoming MUV from the brand can be made via a physical a walk-in at the NEXA dealerships of the company or online via the NEXA website or app. The booking amount for the premium MUV from the brand has been set at Rs. 11,000. Along with the opening of the bookings, the maker has also revealed some more detail about their upcoming MUV.

Shashank Srivastava, the executive director of MSIL's sales and marketing department spoke on the occasion of the opening of the bookings and stated,

At Maruti Suzuki, we have always focused on bringing out products that match the customers’ demand. The XL6 is an exclusive 6-seater premium MPV, designed to meet the aspirations of evolved and discerning NEXA customers. With XL6, we bring NEXA’s first premium MPV, which is high on comfort and convenience along with an array of safety features. The XL6 will further strengthen our NEXA products portfolio and provide our customers with a range of products from hatchbacks, Sedan, SUV and now a premium MPV at NEXA. We hope our customers enjoy the experience of our latest offering.

The new version of Ertiga is only expected to come with aesthetic and feature changes and the maker is not expected to make any changes in the engine department of the MPV and it can now be confirmed that the maker will only offer the petrol version of the upcoming MUV in the market. This is in line with Maruti's strategy of keeping only petrol vehicles in production in the strict BS-VI emission norms era. The company will equip the upcoming XL with a SHVS mild-hybrid 1.5L petrol engine rated to deliver 104 Bhp and 138 Nm. This petrol mill will come paired to a 5 speed manual and 4 speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

In order to keep the cabin spacious and more upmarket the maker will offer six seats on the XL6. These seats will be offered in the 2-2-2 layout and will comprise of captain seats in the middle row. This will be something similar to what is seen on the Toyota Innova Crysta in the Indian market. In order to up the upmarket quotient of the MUV, Maruti Suzuki will also offer leather wrapped seats in the XL6. Apart from the increased space and the presence of captain seats in the MUV, one can also expect to see the usage of premium materials inside the car. This will give the cabin an upmarket feel and will also keep the experience inside the XL6 different than that of Ertiga MPV.
