Maruti Suzuki XL6 Dimensions Leak Online, Details

As we have already informed you, the largest carmaker of India, Maruti Suzuki is all geared up to launch the premium version of Ertiga MPV in the Indian market. The spyshots of the MPV have already revealed the exteriors of the upcoming car. The launch of the new version of MPV is expected to take place on 21 August. The new version of the bestselling MPV from the brand will be targeted at a more premium consumer base and will take up the upmarket quotient a bit higher. There is also speculation that the company may sell the new version of Ertiga via NEXA showrooms as this will be more upmarket and loaded version of the current Ertiga MPV. Now there are reports on the internet claiming to reveal the dimensions of the upcoming MPV. Here is a comparison of the dimensions of the upcoming XL6 and current Ertiga in the Indian market.

The above stated data shows that there is not a lot different when it comes to the size of the two MPVs. However, there is a reason behind it, as the extension of the wheelbase of the XL6 would have meant making changes to the frame of vehicle. This in turn would have driven up the cost of the vehicle in the market as making changes to the chassis involves a lot of expenses on the end of the maker, which is then passed on to the customer. However, the increase in the remaining dimensions will surely mean that the upcoming XL6 will be more spacious than the current Ertiga in the market, thereby making the cabin of the XL6 a good place to be in.

As already stated, the spyshots of the MPV have leaked on the internet. The spy photos show that the MPV has a more aggressive stance, something that looks like a cross between SUV and MPV, with leanings toward the latter. The NEXA badging on the lower right corner of the rear windshield confirms that the new premium version of Ertiga will indeed be sold via the NEXA dealerships. Also present on the rear end is the XL6 badging which brings out the name of the latest version of MPV.

The new version of Ertiga is only expected to come with aesthetic and feature changes and the maker is not expected to make any changes in the engine department of the MPV. There are hopes that in the petrol version, the company will equip the upcoming version of Ertiga with a mild-hybrid 1.5L petrol engine rated to deliver 104 Bhp and 138 Nm. This petrol mill will come paired to a 5 speed manual and 4 speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
