Maruti Suzuki XL6 Sketches Released by Brand

Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to launch their premium version of Ertiga -- XL6 -- in the Indian market. The XL6 had already been spied testing multiple times in the country and the launch event is also expected to take place in August itself. Now ahead of the launch event, the brand has gone ahead and released the sketches for the upcoming vehicle.

The XL6 has already been spotted during testing and recently the dimensions of the upcoming MUV were also leaked online. Perhaps the reason behind the brand naming the upcoming vehicle as the XL6 is that the car will be a 6-seater when launched in the Indian market. The new sketches released by the brand show the overall silhouette of the upcoming MUV. The sketches show that the upcoming MUV will come with LED elements at the front as well as rear. The front will also come with a wide grille which will distinguish the upcoming MUV from the normal Ertiga. The spied photos of the XL6 have also confirmed that the MUV will come with a lot of plastic cladding all over the body.

Talking about the upcoming MUV from the brand, the executive director at marketing and sales of MSIL, Shashank Srivastava, stated:

“Maruti Suzuki is ready to roll out the next level of excitement with the XL6, a premium MPV, at NEXA showrooms across the country. Apart from the space and functionality that the customers desire for, the all-new XL6 offers a blend of sporty design and premium interiors, which will help it in establishing its niche in the MPV segment.”

As already stated, the spyshots of the MPV have leaked on the internet. The spy photos show that the MPV has a more aggressive stance, something that looks like a cross between SUV and MPV, with leanings toward the latter. The NEXA badging on the lower right corner of the rear windshield confirms that the new premium version of Ertiga will indeed be sold via the NEXA dealerships. Also present on the rear end is the XL6 badging which brings out the name of the latest version of MPV.

The new version of Ertiga is only expected to come with aesthetic and feature changes and the maker is not expected to make any changes in the engine department of the MPV. There are hopes that in the petrol version, the company will equip the upcoming version of Ertiga with a mild-hybrid 1.5L petrol engine rated to deliver 104 Bhp and 138 Nm. This petrol mill will come paired to a 5 speed manual and 4 speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
