The 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 will make 800hp.

The company intends to add to its Ultimate Series before the end of the year. Codenamed P15, the car is expected to be the fastest McLaren ever, spare for the extreme, track-focused P1 GTR.
Under the hood sits a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 (found in every McLaren car) that will put out a whopping 800hp. The Car will come fitted with a new Monocage II one-piece carbon-fibre tub used on the 720S - the P15 will weigh less than 1,300kg.

Like the P1, the P15 will look to beat the 720S’ quarter-mile time of 10.4sec and the P1’s 10.2sec time as well. The car’s goal will be to match the P1’s 0-100kph time of 2.7sec and it may also be looking at challenging the P1 GTR’s 2.5sec. The car’s use of active aero and carbon fibre will play its part.
Only 500 units will be produced and the car is not expected to spawn a convertible or a special-edition model.
