The all-new AMG E63 S 4Matic+ costs Rs1.5 crore (ex-showroom, India). This top-of-the-line variant is powered by a 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 that makes a massive 612hp and 850Nm. On the inside, there’s a fully digital instrument console that's not available on the locally-assembled E-Class.
The engine sends power to all four wheels via a nine-speed, dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The E63 S does 0-100kph in a quick 3.4sec, and top speed is electronically limited to 250kph. You can take this up to 300kph with the AMG Driver's package option. The V8 engine also features cylinder deactivation technology for better fuel-efficiency.
As optional extras, you get AMG's sports suspension, an electronically-controlled differential lock, dynamic engine mounts and carbon ceramic brake discs. At this price, the E63 S is only slightly more expensive than BMW’s M5.
Under the Odd-Even rule, vehicles with even and odd numbers are allowed to ply on the road on alternate days.
