First AMG 53-series model to arrive in the Indian market; expect the price around Rs 1.20 Crores (ex-showroom)

Mercedes-Benz India will officially launch the AMG GLE 53 4Matic+ Coupe in the country tomorrow, i.e. 23rd September 2020. With the launch tomorrow, this would be the first AMG 53-series model to arrive in the Indian market. The German luxury automaker had already opened AMG GLE 53 4Matic+ Coupe bookings in the country from 8th September 2020. Mercedes-Benz AMG GLE 53 Coupe launch follows the 2020 GLS introduction in India in June earlier this year. The buyers can book the luxury coupe through Mercedes Benz’s India website and the authorized brand outlets. The GLE 53 coupe is the second coupe SUV after the GLC Coupe in India. It will rival the likes of BMW X6 and Porsche Cayenne in India. The company is expected to retail the AMG GLE 53 Coupe in India at around Rs 1.20 Crores (ex-showroom).

Visually, the Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe is quite similar to the SUV counterpart with few exceptions like the Panamericana’ AMG radiator grille, revamped front bumper. Larger 22-inch alloy wheels, integrated boot spoiler and black chrome finished tailpipes with the rear diffuser. The cabin design will be almost identical to the standard GLE SUV with an addition of an AMG steering wheel and contrasting red colour topstitching. The Indian buyers could look forward to a feature-rich cabin. The key highlights will be two 12.3-inch screens for infotainment and instrument cluster, 6-way adjustable powered rear seats, panoramic sunroof, autonomous emergency braking and climate control system. The instrument panel’s interface will come with Racetimer, AMG start-up menu and 4 different display options - Classic, Sport, Subtle, and Supersport.
