The company’s ‘Advanced Assurance Programme’ now extends warranty on your vehicle to a maximum of six years and is also transferable.

Mercedes-Benz launched its ‘Advance Assurance Programme’, an enhanced extended warranty offering in partnership with Reliance General Insurance and Daimler financial services. This is the company’s second aftersales initiative (after it announced a new line of service packages earlier in February).

Roland Folger, MD & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, said that “the objective is of creating a new benchmark in the luxury car industry, whereby the customer gets to enjoy service excellence, the lowest cost of ownership and complete peace of mind.”

Under this scheme, after the standard three-year warranty expires, customers can extend the same till the fourth or up to the sixth year of ownership of the car. Prices for this plan for the fourth year ranges from ₹33,000 for the A-class to ₹1,98,000 for the S-class, which the company claims is cheaper than its earlier extended warranty offerings.

All vehicles across Mercedes’ range, both imported and locally assembled, qualify for this scheme. There’s no mileage cap for personal buyers either. It can be availed for up to 36 months after the vehicle’s date of sale. You can also transfer this extended warranty if you sell your car to someone. Additionally, there’s an inbuilt exit clause for owners who want to opt out of this programme.
