Mercedes-Benz is all set to launch the GLE facelift in India on November 2, 2023. The German automaker will launch the new GLE facelift tomorrow in a new avatar. The GLE facelift is an upgraded version of the company’s flagship SUV. Just ahead of the Diwali celebration, Mercedes-Benz rolled out this new SUV. The GLE facelift will come with an updated design, an enhanced interior, and multiple powertrains.
Mercedes-Benz has upgraded the look of its flagship SUV. The GLE facelift will come with a new bumper, LED headlight, tail light units, a one-slat grille at the front, and alloy wheels. The German automaker first teased this SUV in February. The GLE Facelift SUV is very similar to the outgoing standard variant.

Inside the cabin, the GLE Facelift SUV comes with updated features such as ambient lighting, 4-zone climate control, an electrically modifiable rear, panoramic sunroof, front seats with memory functions, Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, twitchable air vents, and much more. The new steering wheel in the Facelift SUV has been borrowed from the S-Class. The new GLE will get the latest edition of the MBUX system.
The GLE SUV is expected to come in three variants: 300 d, GLE 450, and GLE 450 d. Powering the GLE Facelift SUV is a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine that churns out 265 bhp of power and a peak torque of 550 Nm. The engine is mated to a nine-speed automatic gearbox. The other powertrain in the GLE SUV is a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder diesel unit, and it will come with the exact transmission option. The diesel unit churns out 100 bhp and 200 Nm of peak torque. The single-petrol engine will come with a 3.0-litre six-cylinder unit that can produce power of 375 bhp and 500 Nm peak torque.
The outgoing GLE SUV model in India cost INR 91.20 lakh (ex-showroom), and for the powerful diesel variant, it later increased to INR 1.08 crore (ex-showroom). The new GLE SUV is anticipated to be priced at INR 95 lakh (ex-showroom). The new GLE SUV will come with an upgraded interior, powertrain, and design. The GLE facelift SUV will compete with the likes of the BMW X5, Volvo XC90, and Audi Q7. In India, along with the new GLE facelift, Mercedes-Benz will also launch the C43 AMG tomorrow.
The all-electric luxury sedan gets the M treatment, and the electric motor and other features make this luxury sedan more dynamic in terms of handling.
