Mercedes Benz GLE Fully Loaded Variants Launched in India

Mercedes launches one of the safest SUVs on the road; introduces EQ Boost technology in GLE 450 4Matic.

Mercedes Benz India launched the top-end petrol and diesel variants of its best selling SUV, GLE LWB in the Indian market. The new top-end variants namely 450 4Matic(Petrol) is priced at Rs 88.80 lakhs (ex-showroom) and 400 d 4Matic (Diesel) costs Rs 89.90 lakhs (ex-showroom). The new GLE LWB is targeted at customers seeking a premium experience in an urban environment. 

In terms of design, both the variants feature multibeam LED headlamps with ultra range high beam. Other highlighted features include auto park assist, 360-degree surround-view camera, widescreen cockpit, airmatic suspension with ADS+ among many others. On the sides, it gets 20-inch 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels.

The interior of the new Mercedes Benz GLE 450 4Matic  and 400 d 4Matic boasts of electrically adjustable rear seats. The front seats come equipped with a memory package. Other on-board features include MBUX NTG6 with “Hey Mercedes”, hard-disc navigation, smartphone integration, 4-Zone THERMOTRONIC AC, wireless charging front, electric sun blinds, and panoramic sunroof. In terms of safety equipment, the 450 4Matic and 400 d 4Matic gets active brake assist and blind-spot assist as standard. 

Under the skin, both these variants are powered by BS6 compliant in-line six-cylinder engines. The Mercedes Benz GLE 450 4Matic LWB produces 367 bhp power and 500 Nm torque along with an additional 22 bhp power and 250 Nm torque available via EQ Boost. While the new Mercedes GLE 400 d 4Matic LWB churns out 330 bhp power and 700 Nm torque. The engines comes mated to a 9G-Tronic transmission.
