Mercedes launches GLA facelift at ₹30.65 lakh

Changes to Mercedes-Benz’s entry-level SUV are purely cosmetic.

Mercedes-Benz has introduced the latest iteration of the GLA, it’s A-class hatchback based SUV in India. Ex-showroom prices for the updated model start from ₹30.65 lakh and go all the way to ₹36.75 lakh for the fully loaded variant. 

The SUV gets redesigned front and rear bumpers, grille, alloy wheels and new all-LED headlamps with LED day-time running lights. Changes to the interior are minor, and come in the form of an updated infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen, ambient lighting and an updated instrument cluster. Select variants can also be had with a customisation package.

No changes have been made to the GLA’s engine options. The SUV continues to offer a 183hp, 2.0-litre turbo petrol and a 2.1-litre diesel. The diesel engine comes in two states of tune –136hp (200d) and 170hp (220d).

The GLA is a rival to entry-level luxury SUVs like the Audi Q3, the BMW X1 and the recently launched Volkswagen Tiguan
