There’s a new front end and new paint schemes.

The facelifted model features styling elements first seen on the Maybach 6 concept car. It will debut at the Geneva motor show and deliveries in the UK will begin in August. The new grille resembles the one on the Maybach 6, and there’s a redesigned front bumper as well. The new face allows this car to be distinguishable from standard S-Class Models.

The company wants to add more models to the Maybach line-up, including a plush new version of the third-generation GLS, which will be revealed at the end of the year. There are now two new two-tone paint schemes that are available in nine colour combinations, creating what Maybach describes as a piano lacquer effect and the feeling of depth within the paint.

The cabin gets two new shades - Armagnac brown/black and Savanna beige/black – and leather upholstery with fresh colours for the stretching. There are two engines on offer - a turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 with 464hp in the S560 and a turbocharged 6.0-litre V12 developing 620hp in the S650.
