MG Astor SUV Prices Hiked by Up to INR 27,000

The Astor mid-size SUV comes in five distinct monotone and twin color schemes: Havana Grey, Glaze Red, Aurora Silver, Starry Black, Candy White, and Dual Tone White and Black.

JSW-MG Motor India has implemented a price hike on the Astor mid-size SUV in India with immediate effect. This price revision applies to select variants of the MG Astor, with potential price hikes reaching up to INR 27,000 compared to the previous price list. The new prices for the SUV start at INR 9.98 lakh and go up to INR 18.35 lakh (ex-showroom).

MG Astor Updated Price

According to the brand, the Savvy Pro Turbo 1.3 automatic Sangria Red, the Savvy Pro 1.5 CVT Ivory, and the Savvy Pro 1.5 CVT Sangria Red trims have now become expensive by INR 27,000. On the contrary, the MG Astor Sharp Pro 1.5 CVT Ivory variant has now become dearer by INR 26,000 higher than the Xienta Active 1.5 MT version.

The MG Astor Sharp Pro 1.5 MT Ivory and Select 1.5 CVT Ivory variants now command a premium of INR 24,000 and INR 21,000, respectively. Customers who are planning to purchase the MG Astor Select 1.5 MT Ivory and Shine 1.5 MT Ivory variants will now need to pay an additional amount of INR 20,000. All the other models introduced will have the same prices.

MG Astor Powertrain

Under the hood, the Astor midsize SUV draws power from two engine options: a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated unit and a 1.3-litre turbo petrol unit. The naturally aspirated version churns out 108 bhp of power and 144 NM of torque. It is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox or Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) automatic system. The turbocharged unit delivers a magnificent power output of 138 bhp and 220 Nm of torque. It is mated to a CVT automatic system.

MG Astor Rivals

In its segment, the Astor mid-size SUV rivals the likes of the Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Hyundai Creta, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, and Citroen C3 Aircross.

MG recently launched the Blackstorm edition of the Astor SUV with a range of aesthetic and feature enhancements compared to the standard version. These enhancements incorporate a sleek all-black exterior color scheme on the grille, bumpers, and headlights at both ends.
