It will be sold in 4 variants namely Style, Super, Smart, and an all-new Select

Today, MG Motor India sprung a surprise with the launch of Hector Plus 7 seater at a price of Rs 13.34 lakh (ex-showroom, India). It was revealed to the Indian buyers alongside the launch of the 2021 Hector facelift in the domestic market. The 7-seater SUV comes in the backdrop of the Hector Plus launch last year in the Indian market. The difference between the 7-seater and the standard 6-seater model is the replacement of captain seats in the second row with a bench seat. The 7-seater Hector Plus will rival the likes of Mahindra XUV500 and new Tata Safari in the country. It will be sold in four variants namely Style, Super, Smart, and an all-new Select. The lower-end Style diesel trim retails at Rs 14.65 Lakhs (ex-showroom) while the top-end Select diesel variant is priced at Rs 18.32 Lakhs (ex-showroom).

Apart from the inclusion of a bench seat, there is no other change in the design or the features. Talking about the Super trim, it continues to be packed with features like the 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rear AC vents, LED tail lamps and fog lamps at the rear. Additionally, the buyers can look forward to safety features like ABS with EBD, ESP, cruise control, rear camera and parking sensors.

Talking about the top-end Sharp variant, one can look forward to a panoramic sunroof, 7.0-inch Multi-information display, 360-degree camera, automatic headlamps and 4-way electrically adjustable co-driver seat among many other features.

Performance-wise, the powertrains remain the same as before. The engine options available with the Hector Plus 7-seater are 1.5-litre turbo-petrol with 48V mild hybrid, 2.0-litre diesel and 1.5-litre turbo petrol. The turbo petrol variant comes with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed DCT automatic while the diesel engine is paired with 6-speed manual gearbox. On the other hand, the hybrid engine comes with a 6-speed manual transmission unit only.
