MG Motor today announced that it has commenced the production of Hector PLUS at its manufacturing facility in Halol, Gujarat. Showcased for the first time at this year's Auto Expo in February, the SUV is an extended version of the Hector and offers an additional third row of seats. In comparison to the original SUV, the Plus has a refreshed exterior design along with updated interiors.

Talking about only the exteriors, MG Hector Plus stands to provide a premium appeal which is highlighted via the presence of an all-new front grille, LED headlamps, front and rear bumpers. The rear tail light section has been given a complete makeover while the skid plates get an update. In our last update, we had also reported that the SUV would only come as a 6-seater and not a 7 or 8 seater as projected at the time of Auto Expo. As for the cabin, MG Hector PLUS will offer an updated 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with a panoramic sunroof which would be standard. In regards to the powertrain, the vehicle will be equipped with the same engines that are seen on the Hector.
