The delivery of 500 units in a single day holds significance as almost every automaker's production in the country is affected due to acute shortage of chips. The British brand is trying its best to improve the availability to meet its initial target of 4000-5000 deliveries by December end 2021. MG Motor India has also started the pre-bookings for the Astor for delivery in 2022. The SUV can be booked online or by visiting company authorized showrooms across the country. The Astor is available in four trims namely Style, Super, Smart, and Sharp. Adorning the brand's Emotional Dynamism design language, MG Astor is equipped with i-SMART technology with 80+ connected car features.

The smaller 1.3L turbo petrol engine is exclusively offered with a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. On the other hand, the bigger 1.5L engine can be availed with a 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic unit. The SUV rides on 17-inch alloy wheels while the braking duties are helmed by disc units at both front and rear. It measures slightly over 4.3 metres in length.
