The all-electric ZS SUV has touched 4000 units domestic sales milestone in the country

MG Motor India has announced that the all-electric ZS SUV has touched 4000 units domestic sales milestone in the country. Having a market share of 27 percent in the EV segment, MG ZS was launched nearly two years back in the Indian market. The brand registered a growth of 145 percent in sales for the electric SUV as 2798 units were sold in the Calendar Year 2021. It has received 700 bookings on a monthly average basis since its launch, hence by powering MG Motor to become the second largest EV manufacturer in India.

MG ZS EV is available in two variants namely Excite and Exclusive at a starting price of Rs 21.49 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom). Riding on 17-inch alloy wheels, it offers a range of 419 kilometers on a single charge which is the highest in India. The SUV is equipped with a best-in-class 44.5 kWh Hi-Tech battery pack which generates maximum power of 141 bhp and peak torque of 350 Nm. It does a 0-100kmph sprint in merely 8.5 seconds. Some of the notable features in the ZS EV include a panoramic sunroof, 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and PM 2.5 Filter. Being dubbed as India's pure electric internet SUV, it is based on MG's global popular platform while adopting signature global design cues.

The vehicle and battery-pack ground clearances have been increased to 177 mm and 205 mm, respectively. MG is offering its customers a 5-way charging ecosystem including free-of-cost AC fast-charger at residences/offices, portable in-car charging cable, DC superfast charging stations at dealerships, 24x7 charge-on-the-go facility (in 5 cities), and charging stations in satellite cities and tourist hubs. The ZS EV directly rivals Hyundai Kona in the Indian market. The company had introduced the petrol-powered version of the ZS EV last year in the country. Being christened as MG Astor, it comes loaded with a plethora of high-end features and advance technology.
