The car is available in 4x4 manual and 4x2 automatic forms.

The Select Plus version is Priced at ₹30.53 lakh for the 4x2 automatic model and ₹30.95 lakh for the 4x4 manual (ex-showroom, Mumbai). This version of the SUV features cosmetic changes over the standard Pajero Sport and it comes with added equipment too.

The car is currently available only in dual-tone colours, and comes with a blacked-out roof and pillars, black-finished body mouldings on the wheel-arch extensions, door mouldings and a guard on the front bumper. The alloy wheels and front grille are blacked-out too. There’s chrome mouldings on the door handles and on the wing mirror housings as well.

The Select Plus variant comes with cruise control, LED daytime running lamps (DRLs) on the outer edge of the fog lamp housings, electric folding wing mirrors, high-intensity discharge (HID) headlamps (the standard Pajero Sport gets halogen projectors), a chiller box and DVD players mounted in the front seat headrests.

Mechanically, there are no changes, this car comes with the same engine as the standard Pajero Sport – a 178hp, 2.5-litre, four-cylinder diesel motor. The manual gearbox-equipped four-wheel-drive model makes 400Nm of torque, while the 2WD automatic puts out 350Nm.

The introduction of the new variant is a move to help revive sales for the model in light of stiff competition.
