Ahead of the car’s reveal at the upcoming Geneva motor show, images of the fifth-generation Audi A6 have leaked online. The car looks to have stuck to Audi’s design template with its large hexagon-shaped grille flanked by sharply-cut headlamps which looks like an evolution of the outgoing A6s. Styling is neat and the lines are crisp, all the way to the stunning tail-lights.
For now, there are no images of the interior, but they could bear a very close resemblance to the latest A7. You can expect the new A6 to sport a dual-touchscreen arrangement like the A8 and A7. Audi’s Virtual Cockpit digital instruments are also expected to be on offer. This car promises to offer more room than the outgoing A6 as well.
Audi will launch the car in April this year, and the company says the A6 will offer Level 3 autonomous driving, wherever permitted. Under the hood will be four-cylinder, 2.0-litre and 3.0-litre V6s, and 4.0-litre V8 engines, with two plug-in hybrid variants also expected. The sporty S6 version won't be launched until 2019 though. Audi will also look to introduce the RS6 version of this car in 2020.
The new A6 is likely to come to India towards the latter part of 2018 or by early-2019.
