Toyota’s Corolla Altis - rivalling Hyndai Elantra will be replaced by an updated model in March 2017.
The model remains similar in profile to the current model, but it features a sharper nose and a more upmarket design with sleeker headlamps and a slimmer grille. It is likely to come with bi-beam LED headlamps like the ones on the Fortuner, and the rear will also get all-new LED tail-lamps.
The interior of the car features a revised layout and makes use of more soft-touch materials. There’s also a new infotainment touchscreen, while the air con system features new rotary controls.
The engines, however, are likely to be the same 140hp 1.8-litre petrol motor and the 88hp 1.4-litre diesel as in the current car.
The BS 6 new-gen 2020 Hyundai Creta petrol and diesel variants will be expensive by Rs 15,000-20,000 and Rs 35,000-40,000, respectively, than BS 4 variants.
