Ducati India has launched two new Scrambler models - Nightshift & Desert Sled - in the country. The former is priced at Rs 9.80 Lakhs while the latter gets a price tag of Rs 10.89 Lakhs. All the prices are (ex-showroom, India). The Nightshift is a new addition to the Ducati Scrambler’s line-up in the Indian market. It takes the place of Scrambler Café Racer and Full Throttle models globally as well as domestically. The company has opened the bookings for Scrambler models across all its authorised dealerships with the deliveries expected to commence in the coming days.
The Scrambler Nightshift is a road-ready Café Racer style motorcycle. The new model sources the flat handlebar from the 1100 Sport Pro while the bar-end rear-view mirrors are quite similar to the Café Racer motorcycle. Other notable highlights are a new bench seat and spoked wheels. The number plates are taken from the full-throttle model. Ducati Scrambler Nightshift runs on a set of 18-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels. Overall, Ducati Scrambler Nightshift is a combination of different models in terms of components sourcing or design elements. The 2021 Ducati Scrambler Nightshift is simplistic in appeal. The striking LED headlamp and an aggressive-looking black exhaust system add a premium quotient to the bike.
Both the Ducati Scrambler Nightshift and Desert Sled are powered by an 803cc L-twin two-valve engine. The engine will deliver a maximum power output of 73bhp at 8250rpm and a peak torque output of 66.2Nm at 5750rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Both the Ducati bikes come equipped with a multi-plate type clutch system with hydraulic control and a servo-assisted slipper function.
Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled is launched in a new colour and livery option. The bike features a completely new "Sparkling Blue" livery with red and white details on the fuel tank and mudguards. The new graphics are a nod to the legendary Enduro bikes of the 1980s. The Desert Sled is the off-road model of the popular Ducati Scrambler family. The notable updates in the BS6 Ducati Desert Sled are longer suspension travel of 200 mm at the rear and front, extended rear fender and high front mudguard. It will ride on Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres on its 19-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear spoked wheel combinations.
