The next-gen 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 was spied doing test runs in the production-ready format

Royal Enfield launched the Meteor 350 in the country a few months back. Now the company is preparing to launch the next-gen Classic 350 next year. The bike has been spotted doing test runs on multiple occasions in the past. Recently, it was spied once again undisguised in a production-ready format on the Indian roads. This further indicates that the launch can happen anytime soon. The spy images for the same have been leaked online.

As per the spy images, the 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 looks similar to the current model. It carries forward a few design elements from the ongoing model. These include a retro-style tank, fenders over the wheels, and the side panels. In addition, the bike will get a new sleek tail-lamp with chrome bezel and a redesigned rear seat with rounded edges. The grab rail has been raised for better ergonomics and comfort for the pillion.

Feature-wise, the bike might get the Bluetooth-enabled Tripper navigation system that we saw on the Meteor 350.  From the spy shots, we can also see a circular instrument cluster. But we are not sure how different it will be from the one present on the current model.

Performance-wise, the upcoming 2021 Classic 350 is likely to draw power from the same 349cc, fuel-injected engine that is present on the recently launched Meteor 350. The engine will generate a maximum power of 20.2 bhp at 6100rpm and a peak torque of 27Nm at 4,000rpm. Furthermore, the new engine will get a SOHC two-valve head instead of an old pushrod-valve system. The engine will be linked to a 5-speed gearbox.

The next-gen Classic 350 will be based on the same dual-cradle frame J platform that Royal Enfield debuted with the Meteor 350. The bike will come equipped with front and rear disc brakes along with dual-channel ABS. As for the price, we can expect it to be slightly premium over the current-gen model.
