Next-gen 2021 Ford Endeavour will draw inspiration from the new-gen Ranger which will also debut alongside it.

Ford Motor Company has started working on the next-gen Endeavour SUV which is expected to arrive around mid 2021. The SUV would come with substantial exterior and interior updates while it will be challenging the likes of Toyota Fortuner, Isuzu MU-X and Mahindra Alturas in the Indian market. The company had launched the facelifted Endeavour last month in India with subtle cosmetic changes alongside an all-new 2.0L EcoBlue diesel engine and a 10-speed automatic transmission. A few days back, a purported test mule of the 2021 Ford Endeavour was spotted in China.

The SUV spied testing had three rows of seating and it looked a bit bigger than the current model of Endeavour, hinting that it might also be an Explorer-sized SUV. The front fascia comprised of a huge radiator grille and restyled fog lamps. The headlamps also appear to be new alongside the tall pillars and rakish windshield. The cabin was finished in an all black theme with metallic accents while featuring a flat-bottomed multi-function steering wheel with audio and telephone controls and a big touchscreen infotainment system. Ford has partnered with Mahindra to develop a new range of SUVs exclusively for the Indian market, which includes a C-segment SUV that will come by early 2021.

Some reports also suggest that the 2021 Ford Endeavour will be based on the next-gen Ranger which is also due for a 2021 unveil. The pictures and details were leaked online a while back. The styling cues were derived from the F-series which included a revamped front fascia while the side profile resembled the Super Duty F-250. Under the hood, it will have a twin turbocharged V6 engine. Though, it will not be introduced in the Indian market anytime soon, but the next-gen 2021 Ford Endeavour will take inspiration from it in terms of styling. Currently, the whole auto industry is struggling due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic and it has compelled them to delay their plans indefinitely until further notice.
