Tata Punch has secured the highest 5-star safety rating with a highest ever score of 16.453 for any Indian car from Global NCAP. It has received the highest adult occupant protection rating. The yet-to-be-launched micro-SUV has been awarded 4-star rating with a score of 40.891 for child occupant protection from Global NCAP. The Punch is the third Tata car to get this recognition after the Altroz in January 2020 and the Nexon in December 2018. Tata Punch will be officially launched on October 18, 2021 in the Indian market.
Tata Punch has been designed by the company's studios in India, UK, and Italy. It comes packed with a plethora of safety features in the form of Dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and Corner Stability Control, Front Fog Lamp with Cornering Function, Child Seat ISOFIX Anchor Points, Perimetric Alarm System, Reverse Parking Camera, Driver & Co-Driver Seat Belt Reminders and Tire Puncture repair Kit. In addition, the micro-SUV boasts of a segment-first Brake Sway Control feature which detects the tendency of instability during abrupt braking before the ABS kicks in to avoid vehicle swaying from the driving path. Built on the Agile Light Flexible Advanced (ALFA) architecture, Tata Punch will rival Maruti Ignis and Mahindra KUV100.
