Next-Gen Hyundai Creta crosses 20,000 bookings in India

Hyundai aims to dispatch over 10,000 units per month to its dealers across the nation.

The All-New Hyundai Creta has created a buzz among everyone with its launch. Hyundai had already received 14,000 pre-bookings for the Next-Generation Creta ahead of its official launch. Now after almost 2 months from it launch, it is being speculated that the company has received almost 20,000 bookings for this compact SUV. According to a media report, Hyundai dispatched 6,703 units of 2020 Creta to the dealerships ahead of the lockdown. Even amidst these testing times, the Next Generation Hyundai Creta is creating quite a buzz. With so many prospective customers inquiring about the SUV, Hyundai aims to dispatch over 10,000 units per month to its dealers across the nation. Deliveries of this vehicle will commence post lockdown.

Hyundai Creta Interior Look

Next-Gen Hyundai Creta is offered in five trim levels: E, EX, S, SX, and SX. It adorns the Hyundai's next-generation 'Sensuous Sportiness' design language. It is being offered in 10 color options: Polar White, Typhoon Silver, Phantom Black, Lava Orange, Titan Grey, Deep Forest (Turbo Only), Galaxy Blue (New) and Red Mulberry (New) including 2 Dual Tone paint jobs - Polar White with Phantom Black and Lava Orange with Phantom Black.

Under the skin, the 2020 New-Gen Hyundai Creta is offered with three BS6 compliant engine options, borrowed from the Kia Seltos. The petrol variants are powered by a naturally aspirated 1.5 litre MPi engine which delivers 115 bhp power and 144 Nm torque. It is paired to a 6-speed manual transmission as standard, while a CVT gearbox is offered as optional. The diesel variants source power from a 1.5 litre turbocharged U2 CRDi engine which belts out 115 bhp of power output with 250 Nm of peak torque. It can be availed with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. There is also the high-performance 1.4 litre Kappa T-GDi engine which has a maximum power of 140 bhp and peak torque of 242 Nm while linked to a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox.
