Hyundai unveiled Next Generation Creta at the Auto Expo 2020 and is geared up to launch the much-awaited Compact SUV on the 17th of March 2020. While the launch is still couple of weeks away, we did manage to get a glipmse on spy images of Hyundai Creta being tested on Indian roads without any disguise. The 2020 Hyundai Creta is based on Chinese Hyundai ix25 and shares various similarities with the same SUV but there are some minor differences like the interior layout. Bookings have already started via the Hyundai website and authorized dealerships for a token amount of Rs 25,000.
Next Generation Hyundai Creta will come equipped with three BS6 compliant engines and four transmissions options. The 1.5-liter MPi petrol engine will generate a maximum power output of 113 bhp and 144Nm of peak torque and will be offered with a 6-speed manual transmission along with Intelligent Vehicle Technology. The 1.5-litre U2 diesel engine will make 113 bhp and 250Nm of peak torque. the powertrain will come matted to a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. While the 1.4-litre Kappa T-GDi petrol engine will deliver 138 bhp with 242Nm of peak torque. It will only come fitted with a 7-speed DCT. 2020 Creta comes loaded with a host of features like 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, Bose Premium Sound System (8 Speakers), panoramic sunroof, fully digital instrument cluster, Six airbags to mention a few.
Comfort is something that the Next Gen Creta exemplifies with a rear window sunshade, leatherette upholstery, rear seats recline, front and rear USB charging sockets, LED reading lamps and a cooled glovebox. The interior gets a new dual-tone cabin finished in black and beige with chrome inserts around the AC vents and door handles alongside a flat-bottom steering wheel. The New Creta isn’t holding back with features such as a 7-inch instrument console display, a 10.25-inch horizontal touchscreen infotainment system supporting both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, BlueLink smartwatch app, ventilated seats, electric parking brake, rearview monitor to name a few. Plus there are multiple driving modes such as Eco, Comfort and Sport. It also offers multiple traction control modes like Snow, Sand, and Mud for better on and off-road capability.
