The normally aspirated 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder petrol engine is the only one that supports the EZ Shift 5-speed AMT transmission option, however. The Magnite already has the option of a more expensive CVT transmission in its higher trims, thus it does not come with the Turbo engine option. The cost-effective EZ Shift AMT's standout features include a second manual drive mode, clever creep, and more.

Nissan Magnite EZ Shift launched today in India by Nissan India Motors in the AMT version of their Magnite SUV, in an effort to boost sales during the holiday season. The Magnite EZ Shift provides the SUV's budget-conscious consumers with the convenience of an automatic transmission and a 5-speed AMT gearbox. From the entry-level XE variation all the way up to the XV Premium variant, which features a dual-tone exterior, LED headlights, and automatic climate control, the EZ Shift AMT is available. Nissan India has introduced the EZ Shift for an introductory price of INR 6,49,900 ex-showroom for the base XE variant, expanding upon the value offer.

However, only the naturally aspirated 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder petrol engine option is offered with the EZ Shift 5-speed AMT transmission option. The Magnite already has the option of a more expensive CVT transmission in its higher trims, thus it does not come with the Turbo engine option. An additional manual driving mode, an intelligent creep function for congested areas, an anti-stall feature, and a kick-down feature are some of the standout features of the cost-effective EZ Shift AMT.

Prices for the XE, XL, XV, and XV Premium variants with the EZ Shift will be released at a later time, although it is anticipated that the Magnite AMT will be significantly less expensive than its rivals in higher variants as well. Moreover, the AMT gearbox will be an option for the recently released, all-black Magnite Kuro Edition.

The Hyundai Exter AMT starts at INR 8.10 lakh ex-showroom and the Tata Punch AMT starts at INR 7.5 lakh ex-showroom, respectively, in terms of pricing and rivals. This indicates that the Magnite EZ Shift has outperformed its closest rival by INR 1 lakh, which is a sizable margin, even at the cheapest variant.
