Nissan Motor has launched the Magnite Kuro Edition in a blacked-out interior and exterior design. The company started the bookings on September 14, 2023, at a minimum amount of INR 11,000.

Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition launched by Nissan Motors at a starting price of INR 8.27 lakh (ex-showroom). The company started the bookings on September 14, 2023, at INR 11,000. The Kuro Edition is currently available for customers in three variants: the Turbo-petrol MT, Turbo-petrol CVT, and Petrol MT, and it is based on the top-spec XV trim. The prices of these three variants differ: Kuro Petrol MT is available at INR 8.27 lakh, Turbo-petrol MT at INR 9.65 lakh, and Turbo-petrol CVT at 10.46 lakh.

The exterior of the Magnite Kuro Edition comes in an all-black treatment, including grille surrounds, the grille, door handles, window accents, roof rails, alloy wheels, and KURO badging. The Japanese word Kuro means black in English, and this compact SUV represents its name as it gets an all-black finish. The compact SUV also gets painted red brake calipers.

The interior of the Magnite Kuro Edition gets an all-black finish, including the interior door handles, headliner, steering wheel, AC vent surrounds, and sun visors. The Magnite Kuro Edition is based on the top-spec XV trim, so the car boasts upgraded features such as a 360-degree surround camera, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster,and a wireless charger.

Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition Powertrain and Engine Specs

The Magnite Kuro Edition retains the powertrain choices, and no changes have been made to the motor. The compact SUV is powered by a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine making 100 bhp and 160 Nm of torque and a 1.0-litre motor that churns out 72 bhp and 76 Nm. The turbo-petrol petrol motor comes with a CUT gearbox, while the naturally aspirated motor comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition received an accolade from Global NCAP. In terms of the safety rating, it got a 4-star safety rating and offers various safety tech features, including hill start assist (HSA), electronic stability program (ESC), tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and traction control system (TCS).

On the pricing announcement, the Managing Director of Nissan Motor India, Mr. Rakesh Srivastava, commented, "The Nissan Magnite KURO Special Edition is a mixture of style, value, and safety with a strong value proposition. The special edition exhibits our commitment to deliver to the changing aspirational needs and preferences of discerning customers."

Nissan is the official sponsor of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, and the automaker has made a partnership with the International Cricket Council (ICC). Nissan is hosting a contest for its buyers to commemorate this partnership. In the contest, customers will get a chance to win tickets to the World Cup by lucky draw.
