The company’s used car business ‘Nissan Intelligent Choice’ (NIC) will handle the purchase and resale of both, Nissan and Datsun Cars. The used car business will function from dedicated facilities at launch. Currently, Nissan has 10 such centres in Noida, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Ludhiana, Jaipur, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata and Guwahati.
At NIC, you can exchange Nissan models or even other brands for a new Nissan or Datsun car. The brand will, however, sell Nissan or Datsun cars only and each car will undergo a 167-point quality check. There’s a 12 month/20000km warranty and 3 free inspections as well. You can also get an extended warranty of additional 12 months /20000km, 24x7 road side assistance and can avail servicing at any of the company’s 160 service centres around the country.
Satinder Singh Bajwa, Director – Sales, Network, CQ (Customer Quality) & POC (Pre-Owned Car), Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. said, “Pre-owned car market in India is growing at an exponential rate. And, we see a huge potential in this emerging business.”
The X40 has received more than 80,000 orders in the months since its sales launch so Volvo plans to ramp up production. In India, it could be priced somewhere around Rs 43-45 lakh (ex-showroom, India), and will compete with the Audi Q3, BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA. In the UK, the car has been getting 2000 orders per month.
