Piaggio India has started pre-bookings for the Aprilia SXR 160 at a token amount of Rs 5000/- across the authorized dealerships in the country. Aprilia SXR 160 has already entered production at the company's Baramati facility in Pune. It can also be booked through the Ecommerce site www.shop.apriliaindia.com by the buyers. Being designed in Italy specifically for the Indian market, the premium scooter is expected to go on sale in the next few days while available in four colors namely Glossy Red, Matt Blue, Glossy White and Matt Black.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Diego Graffi, Chairman and Managing Director, Piaggio India said, “It is a great feeling as our premium scooter, the Aprilia SXR 160, has started rolling out of the production lines. 2020 was a year filled with challenges, but we were determined to fulfil our promise of delivering the much-anticipated scooter at the earliest. We are delighted to announce that we have now opened pre-booking of the SXR 160 for our distinguished customers, on our Ecommerce platform and at all dealerships across India. We believe that Aprilia SXR 160 with its unique next-generation design and technologically advanced features, will create a new everlasting experience for the Aprilia followers.”
Being based on Aprilia’s latest global design language, the SXR 160 premium scooter flaunts wrap around LED headlamp upfront. It also comes loaded with several advanced features such as LED tail lights, fully digital instrument cluster and mobile connectivity option. The seat is longer, bigger and more comfortable than before for the added convenience of the rider and the pillion. The scooter will also feature adjustable rear suspension, disc brake with ABS and signature Aprilia graphics as standard. Aprilia SXR 160 will be powered by a BS6 compliant 160cc three valve Fuel Injection clean emission engine with high power output and torque performance. The company has also worked a lot on the overall riding experience and ergonomics.
