Ola Electric Achieves Rs 600 Cr+ Sales in One Day

Ola Electric e-scooter was launched at an introductory price of Rs 99,999 in the country last month.

Ola Electric has achieved a whooping sales of Rs 600 Cr+ sales in just one day. The brand commenced the sale of Ola S1 and S1 Pro yesterday in the country. To everyone’s amazement, Ola received a massive response by selling four Ola electric scooters every second. Earlier, it was supposed to go on sale on September 8. However, due to technical glitches on the two-wheeler manufacturer’s site, the sale was pushed to a further date. Both e-scooters can be purchased via the Ola app only. 


The Chennai-based electric vehicle manufacturer has prioritized customers based on their dates of reservation. So all the customers who have booked the scooter by paying Rs 499 will be intimated about their purchase window via SMS, email, and the Ola app. Today is the last day for consumers to purchase electric scooters. Interested buyers can get the bookings done today before the end of the day by paying Rs 20,000 in advance and lock in the introductory price. 

Ola electric scooter was launched last month at a starting price of Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom). The e-scooter is sold in two variants - S1 and S1 Pro. The bookings for the scooters commenced on July 15. The company further claims that the purchase process will be fully digital including the online loan procedure. Furthermore, the e-scooters will be delivered at the doorstep of the customers starting from October.

Performance-wise, Ola S1 comes with a 2.98 kWh battery and is capable of doing a 0-40kmph sprint in just 3.6 seconds. The top speed achieved by this trim is 90kmph. The Ola S1 Pro, on the other hand, is powered by a 3.97 kWh battery pack and can accelerate to 40 kmph in just 3 seconds with a top speed of 115 kmph. Both, Ola S1 and S1 Pro are capable of returning a top power of 11.4 bhp and a peak torque of 58 Nm. Besides these, the S1 and S1 Pro offer a range of 121 km and 181 km, respectively on a single charge.
