Ola Electric made an announcement today that its upcoming electric scooter will be available in a total of 10 vibrant colors. This was further confirmed by Ola Electric CEO and Ola Cabs co-founder Bhavish Agarwal through his tweet after he conducted a poll asking for user’s preferences for the electric scooter’s color options.
Coming back to the upcoming electric scooter, the exact names of the colour schemes will be announced at the time of the launch. However, customers will get to make choices in matte and gloss shades from options in blue, black, pink, red, gold, white, yellow, black, and silver. Recently, the Ola Electric scooter received over 1 lakh bookings within 24 hours of the company opening the reservation counter. Interested buyers can reserve the electric vehicle by paying a refundable deposit of Rs 499. The bookings can be made either online via www.olaelectric.com or through the Ola app.
The new scooter is likely to be launched anytime soon. It will come equipped with several segment-first features like app-based keyless access and the biggest-in-class boot space. In terms of design, the scooter will feature a dual-projector headlamp, LED DRL, a tail light, split-type rear grab handles, an external charging port, a single-piece seat, a fully digital instrument cluster, a hook for carrying luggage, and a black coloured floor mat.
Performance-wise, the upcoming electric scooter is likely to come with a range of 140 - 150 km on a single charge. The top speed is expected to account for around 100 kmph. Besides these, the e-scooter will be manufactured at Ola’s Future factory in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu. Talking about this factory, it has been established with an investment of nearly Rs 2400 Crores.
