As a result of the overwhelming demand from customers, Ola Electric, India's largest producer of electric two-wheelers, stated on Sunday that it will extend its S1 Air price offer of 1.1 lakh to all non-reservants.
Bhavish Aggarwal, the founder and CEO of Ola Electric, tweeted his decision, saying that the firm's expectations had not been met by the demand for the S1 Air and that many consumers were requesting that the company extend the 1.1 lakh offer to everyone outside of reservations. He stated his decision of Ola S1 Air offer extension by remarking “We’ll extend the offer to ALL tonight 8pm onwards till 15th August 12pm. All our stores will be open till midnight tonight. Crazy demand, buy fast for early delivery!"
The Ola S1 Air is being sold at $1.09 lakh (ex-showroom) to customers who have made reservations in advance. Anyone interested in the electric scooter will need to pay an additional 10,000.
Electric scooters like the Ather 450S and TVS iQube compete with the Ola S1 Air. It has twin shock absorbers in the back and telescopic front forks, as well as drum brakes on both ends. The scooter now has a useful grab bar and a fresh coat of bright green paint.
On July 27, 2023, Aggarwal announced via a live webcast that the S1 Air electric scooter pre-order window had opened for members of the community. Due to this development, interested buyers were able to complete their transactions a day ahead of schedule.
The Ola S1 Pro and S1 Air electric scooters have the same construction base. However, it does have some cost-effective features, like a smaller 3 kWh battery pack that provides a 125-mile range on a single charge. The S1 Air has a top speed of 90 kmph, according to Ola Electric, and a 4.5 kW hub motor (6 horsepower) that enables excellent acceleration from 0 to 40 kmph in just 3.3 seconds.
