Throughout the initial week, all versions are eligible for a special introductory reduction of Rs 10,000. Presenting a trio of models, Ola Electric's fresh entry-level release commences at Rs 89,999 for the 2kWh variant. The middle-tier edition, denoted as the S1 X, is equipped with a larger 3kWh battery and bears a price tag of Rs 99,999. At the pinnacle of the X series rests the S1 X+, which incorporates supplementary connectivity features and is priced at Rs 1,09,999. Until August 21, all three iterations are available with a Rs 10,000 markdown from the previously mentioned prices.

Ola's S1 X showcases matching powertrain specifications to the S1 Air, incorporating a hub motor. Initially stated at 4.5kW peak output, Ola has now revised this to a 6kW rating. The S1 X claims a top speed of 90kph, paralleling that of the S1 Air. Similarly, both models share acceleration metrics, achieving 0-40 kph in 3.3 seconds. These statistics relate to the higher-tier variants equipped with the 3kWh battery pack.

The foundational model, furnished with a 2kWh battery pack, showcases not only reduced range but also diminished performance benchmarks. The claimed top speed is 85 kph, with an acceleration time of 4.1 seconds for 0-40kph. The base version attains a certified range of 91km, while the upper two models achieve 151 km. Notably, the S1 Air, initially introduced with a certified range of 125km, now aligns with the S1 X at 151 km.

The underpinnings of the Ola S1 X adopt a basic approach, employing pressed steel wheels and drum brakes on both ends. Front suspension is managed by a telescopic fork, while twin shock absorbers affixed to a double-sided swingarm handle the rear. Benefitting from Ola's 'Gen 2' electric scooter platform, the S1 X features a level floorboard attributed to the redesigned frame.

While the S1 X shares numerous resemblances with the S1 Air, key distinctions exist, enabling Ola to position the X at a more competitive price point. The most notable alteration is the absence of a TFT touchscreen found in higher-tier models, instead utilizing a more cost-effective LCD display.

Additionally, the S1 X incorporates more unpainted black plastics than the OLA S1 Air, contributing to cost reduction efforts.

Booking for all three S1 X versions is now open, with deliveries for the premium S1 X+ set to commence by the end of September. However, the lower two variants are projected to reach customers only in December, according to Ola's schedule.
