Land Rover has revealed a special edition of the Range Rover Velar called the Range Rover Velar SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition. The SUV has been developed by Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations and will be on sale for only a year.
The Range Rover Velar SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition is the most powerful iteration of the SUV and also the fastest. It is powered by a 5.0-litre V8 supercharged engine mated to an 8-speed transmission and power is channeled to all four wheels. The engine produces 542 BHP of peak power and 680 Nm of torque. This helps the SUV complete the 0-100 km/hr in just 4.5 seconds while clocking a top speed of 274 km/hr.
The Range Rover Velar SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition is not only fast but quite capable off-road wise. The AWD system, active rear locking differential, eight-speed transmission, steering and air suspension have been calibrated especially for the car in order to ensure that its true to the Range Rover DNA. The powertrain and safety systems have also been upgraded like the transfer box which has tuned to withstand the 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine. It also gets bespoke forged aluminium 21-inch wheels which help in enhancing the SUV's performance by generating more grip while also accommodating larger brakes. It 395 mm front and 396 mm rear disc brakes that feature a two-piece construction to optimize weight and provide stupendous stopping power.
The SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition also features some design modifications as well. It gets a new front bumper with larger air intakes, a refurbished grille and lower side mouldings combined with a revised rear bumper featuring integrated quad exhaust finishers. The Range Rover lettering on the bonnet and tailgate has also been enhanced, with a knurled finish on the metal element of the two-piece letters. It is available in six colour options, Firenze Red, Santorini Black, Corris Grey, Fuji White, Indus Silver and Satin Byron Blue.
The SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition's interior features a combination of trim finishes and upholstery. It also gets unique twin-stitched, perforated and quilted Windsor leather. Other features include 20-way adjustable heated and cooled front seats with memory and massage functions and a Touch Pro Duo infotainment system that features a 12.3-inch interactive driver display featuring 'digitally knurled' dials.
Prices for the Range Rover Velar SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition are yet to be revealed. If the SUV makes its way to India it is likely to cost around Rs. 2 crores. The standard Range Rover Velar range is currently priced between Rs. 80.92 lakh, going up to Rs. 1.41 crore (all prices, ex-showroom).
The adventure motorcycle retails in 3 colour options namely Matte Shield Gold, Sports Red and Panther Black. The new bike delivers 18.1bhp and 16.15 Nm of torque.
