The Frankurt motor show saw the unveiling of the 2018 version of the Renault (Dacia) Duster. The SUV features design changes on the outside as well as major upgrades on the inside. Laurens van den Acker, Renault’s senior vice president of corporate design, was quoted saying that sales success of the Duster prompted the firm to use an approach to redesign that’s more evolutionary.
The car is fitted with a wider front grille and headlights. The SUV’s tail-lamps have been moved to the corners to make the car look broader.
The navigation system has now been moved to the upper part of the dash and it comes with an optional multi-view camera. It also has blind spot warning, automatic air conditioning and headlights. The car is built on the same platform as the outgoing model is identical in terms of proportions. The windscreen, however, has been moved slightly forward to free up space on the inside.
The same engine and gearbox options for international markets will continue. So far, there is no news of an India launch – the company is currently readying the Captur SUV for launch here.
