The car will be powered by the Phantom's 6.8-litre engine.

Spy pictures of the car spotted testing show that it is close to reaching its final stages of development. Though the car is yet to have an official name, it is referred to as ‘Project Cullinan”. The new SUV is poised to be the first all-wheel-drive car from Rolls-Royce.

Under the hood will sit a tweaked version of the Phantom’s 6.8-litre, V12 engine. The company may offer a plug-in hybrid powertrain at a later stage, with tech from parent BMW Group. There will be no diesel variant however.

Rolls Royce calls this car an ‘all-terrain, high-sided vehicle’ and other models from the carmaker will feature the same steel architectonics of the Cullinan, from 2018 onwards. Rolls-Royce will most probably launch the car internationally in 2018, however, there’s no confirmation on whether or not it will come to India.
