Royal Enfield is working on upgrading their entire lineup to BS6 before the deadling

The current scenario of the Indian automotive industry is revolving around safety and BS6 emission norms of the goverment. 2019 is a big game changer for all car and bike manufacturers as they need to update their fleet to meet the new norms. One of them is Royal Enfield and they are planning to update their entire lineup of bikes ahead of the April 2020 deadline of BS6 norms.

Since 2016, Royal Enfield has been working on upgrading their bikes to meet the emission norms well ahead of the deadline. The Indian motorcycle maker is in final stages of testing and validation. They will be ready for BS6 well before time. RE is currently investing big in meeting the new regulations as well as increasing their production capacity.

Royal Enfield bikes are extremely popular in India and the demand is such that you can't get a motorcycle without a waiting period. They recently launched the Continental GT 650 and Interceptor 650 in India that have gathered tremendous attention as well as bookings. The bike maker has some aggressive plans for the future to further expand in the local as well as international markets.
