The Indian motorcycle brand Royal Enfield is gradually expanding its lineup in international markets after making its mark in India. In recent news, the two-wheeler giant has again achieved a significant milestone by clocking 12 percent sales growth in April 2024. The company announced on Wednesday that it sold 81,870 motorcycles last month, up from 73,136 units retailed in the same month of 2023. In April, Royal Enfield exported 6,832 motorcycles, up from 4,255 units in 2023.
The company registered domestic sales growth of 9 percent, with 75,038 units retailed in April 2024, as compared to 68,881 units in the previous financial year. Its export sales accounted for 6,832 units, marking a significant growth of 61 percent. As of now, Royal Enfield sells nine models in the Indian market: the Classic 350, Bullet 350, Meteor 350, Hunter 350, Himalayan adventure bikes, Scram 411, Interceptor 650, Super Meteor 650, and Continental GT 650.

Commenting on achieving the significant milestone, the CEO of Royal Enfield, B Govindarajan, said, “We’ve had a remarkable FY24, and we are all set for an exciting year ahead and are prepared for the challenges. We’ve already begun this year on a strong footing and have continued our double-digit growth and with a strong pipeline of products I am confident that we will be able to sustain and build further on our growth momentum."
The two-wheeler giant commenced its new year with the launch of the Shotgun 650. Royal Enfield recently unveiled its 'Rentals and Tours' program across 25 countries. The new program is available across 32 destinations, including India, Indonesia, South Africa, Colombia, France, Turkey, Scotland, Namibia, and Spain, among others. It provides rentals, trip support, and guided excursions, guaranteeing a smooth and exhilarating adventure experience. Royal Enfield offers riders a wide range of experiences on 62 tours, encompassing 52 destinations in 25 countries, in collaboration with numerous tour partners.
The brand is expanding its lineup in global markets. Recently, the brand has launched the India-bound Royal Enfield Bullet 350 motorcycle in Japan and the Shotgun 650 bike in North American markets, incorporating Canada and the USA. Royal Enfield is getting ready to launch the Guerrilla 450 in the upcoming months. The company will also unveil the Bear 650 in the country.
