Royal Enfield is on a spree of equipping ABS in all their non-ABS motorcycles. A week ago, the company launched the ABS variant of the Thunderbird 350X and this time they launched the Thunderbird 350 ABS. The company a month ago stated that they will be equipping ABS in all their motorcycles before the end of 2018.
The Thunderbird 350 was the first bike of the company which was loaded with features and equipment. These include twin-pod analog-digital instrument cluster, projector headlight, LED taillight. The bike gets split seats with pillion backrest. It gets butterfly handlebar with relaxed ergonomics.
The motorcycle rides on 19-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels. There are conventional telescopic forks at the front and twin gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear. A 280 mm disc at the front and a 240 mm disc at the rear along with dual channel ABS brings the bike to a halt.
Powering the Thunderbird 350 ABS is a 346cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that makes 19.8 BHP and 28 Nm of torque, the engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Royal Enfield has priced the Thunderbird 350 ABS at Rs. 1.54 lakhs (ex-showroom).
