Simple Energy has signed an MoU with C4V to set up cell manufacturing in the country. The partnership also highlights a strong validation of C4V’s efforts to stabilize a comprehensive domestic supply chain in India. This will further be accompanied by the most advanced Lithium-ion battery technology. Moving on, it will power Simple Energy’s upcoming two-wheeler and four-wheelers. The C4V’s technology will basically prevent fire or explosion risk. Having said that, the lithium-ion battery cells are the central unit of any electric vehicle. Thus, this partnership will utilize cells with industry-leading safety, higher energy density than LFP, faster charging, and a longer life cycle based on C4V’s patented technology.
“Simple Energy is leading the Indian EV industry by vertically integrating the entire value chain, thus bringing better synergy and higher localization. By partnering with C4V, we will consolidate cell supply, which is a vital component for us. This strategy also makes us more self-reliant and reduces our dependency on imports,” as commented by Shreshth Mishra, Co-Founder, Simple Energy.
Simple Energy’s flagship product Simple One will be produced at phase 1 of the company’s manufacturing unit located at Hosur, Tamil Nadu. The plant comes with an annual production capacity of up to 1 million units. Currently, the factory is preparing for mass manufacturing. It will be ready in the coming weeks.
