Skoda Karoq, on the lines of elder sibling Kodiaq, is also expected to be offered in a fully-loaded single trim. Skoda Karoq will be available in a total of six color options: Candy White, Magnetic Brown, Lava Blue, Magic Black, Brilliant Silver and Quartz Grey. It will come loaded with a plethora of premium features such as LED headlamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, 12-way electrically adjustable driver's seat and 9 airbags. The Karoq SUV would be sold in India as CBU initially. Recently, the company released the first TVC of the SUV which confirmed the aforementioned features of the SUV. The Skoda dealerships are still taking bookings for the Karoq at a token amount of Rs 50,000.

Under the hood, it will have a BS6 compliant 1.5L turbocharged TSI petrol engine which we have already seen with the Volkswagen T-Roc. The engine will develop a top power of 147bhp and peak torque of 250Nm while linked to a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox with no all-wheel-drive system planned for now. Meanwhile, in other news, the company has delayed the launch of BS6 Skoda Kodiaq petrol in the Indian market. The company has already discontinued the diesel powered version of the SUV due to the implementation of BS6 emission norms from April 1, 2020. Skoda is in process of phasing out all the diesel models and introducing BS6 certified petrol models in their place. The Karoq would be the only SUV in the company's portfolio.
