The car will be sold with both petrol and diesel engine options.

The Kodiaq RS will be unveiled globally sometime next year. There are no specific details about the engines just yet, but insiders say the model will have "lots of torque" meaning it could be powered by a diesel engine, just like the one in the Octavia vRS.

And, just like the Octavia vRS, there will be a petrol version as well, but the diesel may sell in more volumes. The car is expected to have four-wheel drive as standard.

The Kodiaq vRS will feature design elements to differentiate it from the standard Kodiaq -  aggressive bumper styling elements and extra trim around the exterior. Skoda is currently readying the standard Kodiaq for launch in India sometime next year.

The company will also launch a coupé variant of the Kodiaq in China.
