Skoda’s executive sedan will soon be available in a hotter, more powerful version, called the Octavia RS. This variant sets itself apart from the standard car via a sporty body kit, larger 18-inch wheels and blacked-out trim bits. It also gets LED headlamps and tail-lamps and a boot-lid spoiler. On the safety front, the sporty Octavia will come with nine airbags, ESP and a park-assist system.
The highlight of the Octavia RS, however, has to be its 230hp, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol motor which comes with a six-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
Bookings for the hotter Octavia have commenced, and Skoda is expected to begin deliveries for the same sometime in September.
Besides the Octavia RS, Skoda will also launch the Rapid Monte Carlo and the Kodiaq SUV in India soon.
The automaker first launched the five-seater Sonet SUV in India in 2020 after getting an overwhelming response from customers for the Seltos.
